About Us
Muskoka Jewellery Design is owned & operated by Michael Reijnen and is located in the heart of Muskoka on the outskirts of Algonquin Park. The town of Huntsville has a thriving arts community which is growing rapidly.
We are located on Main Steet in a heritage building which has been a jewellery store since the early 1900's. We are surrounded by large rural areas, forests and lakes which we think influence our designs. We have resided in this location since October 2006 but have been operating in other retail locations downtown since 1995.
We have an amazing collection of one-of-a-kind jewellery designed and constructed by our in-house metalsmiths. We also carry other pieces of work from other artisans from coast to coast. We use silver, gold, and platinum along with precious and semi-precious stones. If you like the One-of-a-kind Show you will love our gallery. We also provide professional jewellery repair, restorations and custom work.
Michael Reijnen, Owner
Michael was born in 1980 and has spent most of his life living in Huntsville. Jewellery making was not in Michael's plans for the future but he started working in the shop in July 2004 in sales and by September of that year was working behind the bench. He quickly discovered he had a passion for this kind of work and has not looked back. He has been apprenticing with Joseph and enjoying all aspects of the craft. He has a keen eye for fine details and it shows in the pieces he designs. Michael likes to create functional jewellery with youthful design. Starting in the middle of 2016, Muskoka Jewellery Design is now owned and operated by Michael.
